I don’t know if I missed something, but I haven’t gotten the cape for a couple of days right now. Since 12 December, I’ve already killed 5 hostile mob challenges with a spear, but I still don’t get it? Any help?
( I have also tried doing a charge attack with a spear and still haven’t gotten it yet )

How to know?
If you scroll all the way to the bottom, you’re gonna see something like
“*Participation in the challenges requires Minecraft: Bedrock Edition (sold separately). In-game Bedrock rewards require Bedrock Edition; in-game Java rewards require Java Edition. If the community meets the Spawn Mounts Challenge, all Bedrock players receive the Bedrock reward and Java players receive the Java reward. Delivery of rewards may take up to 30 days. Spear Mayhem Challenge requires individual player participation to earn the cape. 1 of each reward per person/account, available until December 14, 2027. As stated, the delivery of the rewards may take up to 30 days, and while 2-3 days is expected to get delivered, it might take up to a month! Crazy work, right?
So, worry not! It will get awarded when everyone else will get it. Additionally, to see the wave of Java players get it (which is exactly when people get it on Bedrock Edition too, because most Java players that want capes are forced to first get them on Bedrock Edtion), use this site named “NameMC” (if you don’t know it, here’s the link) https://it.namemc.com/cape/07973351ab910408
As soon as the counter with the star goes up, expect to recieve the cape right at that moment or a bit after, such as an hour to make it load up.

You should receive the cape approximately 30 days after the promotion end date. See https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/41416317734797 for more information.
If after 30 days you do not receive the cape, contact Mojang Support.

I was just watching the shared videos, and i have to do some precisations:
I believe you have to kill 5 different mobs, but not of the same type of mob but different mobs (e.g. you cannot only kill 5 skeletons and you’re done, you have to kill 1 skeleton, 1 zombie, 1 enderman, 1 spider, 1 pig [replace the mobs with any mob, really, i dont think it matters if it’s also hostile or not]
I believe you have to complete the challenge in a completely new world, so you have to create a brand new one survival, not cheats, normal mode and craft yourself a spear and start a killing spree.
