Mouse control input delay

Whenever I move the mouse, left or right click, or scroll through the hotbar the input tends to get delayed and the mouse controls take longer to respond which makes looking around, mining, and using items difficult. I expect the gameplay to respond to the mouse controls at the exact moment of my input.
