I am experiencing progressive performance degradation (lag) in an unmodded Bedrock world. The longer I play in the same session, the worse the lag becomes. This occurs even though system resource usage remains low (RAM ~3 GB, GPU not maxed, CPU not saturated).
This world previously ran smoothly under the same settings. The issue appeared after recent Bedrock updates (notably around updates that introduced new copper-related content such as copper chests / copper gear). Since then, overall performance is worse than in older versions.
This does not appear to be a hardware limitation, as:
GPU, CPU, and RAM usage remain well below maximum
No mods are installed
The issue worsens over time during play, not instantly
Restarting the game temporarily improves performance
This suggests a regression or internal performance issue rather than a user configuration problem.
Steps to Reproduce
Launch Minecraft Bedrock Edition on PC
Open an existing, unmodded world
Use normal gameplay (movement, exploration, interaction)
Continue playing for an extended period (10–30+ minutes)
Observe increasing lag/stutter over time
Expected Result
World performance should remain stable over time, as it did in previous Bedrock versions, especially given low system resource usage.
Actual Result
Performance gradually degrades the longer the world is played, resulting in noticeable lag despite no significant increase in CPU, GPU, or RAM usage.
