Error loading realm invitations in Minecraft Bedrock

I've been trying to join a friend's new realm, but I keep getting this message: Realms request failed. This can usually be due to a network error or system failure. Check your connection and try again.

I've tried closing and reopening it, uninstalling and reinstalling it, and even turning my computer off and on, but nothing works. It still doesn't work.

Please, help me.
