Chat input does not auto-focus when opening chat (T or /) in Minecraft Bedrock 1.21.132

In Minecraft Bedrock 1.21.132, the text cursor does not automatically focus in the chat input field when opening chat using T or /. Because the input is not focused, typing does nothing unless you manually click/tap the input box first. This makes chatting and especially using commands much slower and frustrating. Additionally, clicking near the upper area of the chat/UI and then pressing Enter sometimes does nothing. Pressing Tab also makes the behavior worse/unpredictable.
