Short description of the issue:
Upon updating the game to 26.0, I can no longer see the entirety of my friends list. I have 8 friends, but when I navigate from the main menu to Play and open the Social tab, it only shows 2 of my friends. When I navigate from there to my profile, it shows my total friend count as 8 as expected, and I can view all of my friends from the Friends menu on my profile.
I can no longer join the games of my friends who don’t show up on the list in the Social tab, even when the game in question was changed from “friends only“ to “invite only“ and I was sent an invite (the invite never showed on my end). When I navigate to my friend’s profile from the “Recently played with” dropdown, it shows the Add Friend button instead of the text saying we are friends. When I click Add Friend, my friend does not receive a request.
My friend and I have not been able to figure out a way to continue playing on our world while this bug is in effect. Restarting the game and our computers did not change anything.
Steps to reproduce the issue:
From the Play screen, open Social tab and view friends list. Some friends do not show on this menu. It seems likely the bug is tied to the Microsoft account, since it affects the friends list. So, it may present differently for other accounts, or might not appear at all.
Expected result:
View full list of friends on Social tab and be able to join their games.
Actual result:
Cannot view majority of friends list from Social tab. Cannot re-add friends or join their game from other menus, even with proper permissions.
