Since updating to 1.21.60 from last year February back in 2025, the knockback in Bedrock Edition feels significantly different compared to 1.21.51 and previous versions. Before 1.21.60, the knockback behaved normally — players would be pushed back horizontally in a consistent and balanced way during combat.
Now, knockback feels WAY too light horizontally and instead sends players upward more than before. During PvP combos especially, the player being hit gets pushed too high into the air instead of being knocked back properly. This makes combat feel unnatural and inconsistent compared to previous versions.
The knockback ever since 1.21.60 and even on the current versions is too light to the point the player gets pushed back a lot horizontally and vertically, as this affected no knockback items (including no knockback swords) knoclback 1 and knockback 2 swords.
Previously Working Version: 1.21.51 and earlier
Steps to test:
Open a world in Survival or Creative mode.
Engage in PvP combat (or test with another player).
Start a combo by repeatedly hitting the other player.
Observe the knockback direction and height.
Expected Result:
Knockback should behave like it did in 1.21.51 and earlier — less horizontal pushback with consistent combo behavior.
Actual Result:
Players are launched too high vertically during combos, with reduced horizontal knockback. This makes PvP feel floaty and changes combat balance significantly.
Impact:
PvP mechanics feel inconsistent compared to previous updates.
Combos push players too high into the air.
Competitive combat feels less stable and predictable.
Please investigate the knockback changes introduced in 1.21.60 and consider reverting it to the previous behavior from 1.21.51.
