I somehow obtain an item called "light" in survival

I was mining with my silk touch pickaxe and shovel and somehow when I mined some gravel with silk touch, it dropped an item called light with a 14 icon. I assume it means light level 14. However, I have played for over 11 years and have never seen this item nor do I believe that I should be able to obtain it, let alone in a survival world. I had no idea this item even existed. this is my 1700+ day forever survival world. Attached below is a screenshot of my inventory along with a screenshot proving this is survival with no cheats active. This is a solo world with multiplayer turned off. cheats off. Please shed some “light” on this matter. pun intended.
