UI is way too small even with all the setting turned to the highest

When I go into Minecraft on my iPad, the entire UI is way too small. The Play, Settings, Realms, and Marketplace buttons are less than half the size they should be. And in game, the inventory bar is so much smaller and so is the entire inventory. It’s really an inconvenience and I haven’t found a way to fix it. The extra large UI button doesn’t do anything and I can only make the UI smaller with the slider. The UI just seems like it is made to fit into a smaller device.
