Piglin Brutes target the player if a Piglin that is nearby is angry at the player even if the Piglin was aggravated through means other than the player attacking (Not wearing golden armor, looting a chest, mining a chest/block of gold). This makes it nearly impossible to separate the Piglins from Piglin Brutes in a Bastion for bartering as breaking a block of gold (the method I usually use) basically angers Piglin Brutes also. This is not the case in Java.
