It might be just me, but whenever i play minecraft with my friend or even equip a custom uploaded classic skin, it doesn't load in multiplayer and instead shows one of the default characters

Do you and your friend have the "Only Allow Trusted Skins" option enabled in Settings > General? If so, does the issue still occur if you both disable it and rejoin the world?
