Tipped arrows are not applying potion effects on mobs or player (Minecraft PE Android 14)

I am playing Minecraft on Android 14 (Vivo T1).
Tipped arrows are not working. When I shoot any mob or try to test it, the arrow hits but the potion effect does not apply.
I tested it in survival mode and creative mode and the result is the same

Do you have the difficulty set to Peaceful?

The game difficulty was set to normal and i haven't cheated or use any mods.
