In Bedrock Edition Preview 26.20.23, after a specific sequence involving block attachment, a single attack, and shearing, when a Sulfur Cube is killed in one hit, it does not correctly flash red upon death. Instead, it directly collapses and disappears without displaying the expected red death animation.
How to Reproduce:
Find a naturally spawned Sulfur Cube, or spawn one using a spawn egg or the /summon command in Bedrock Edition Preview 26.20.23
Hold any block that a Sulfur Cube can attach to (e.g., Stone, Logs, Iron Block, Ice) and interact with the Sulfur Cube to make it absorb the block
Attack the Sulfur Cube once with any item or bare hand
Hold Shears and interact with the Sulfur Cube to remove the attached block, restoring it to its normal state
Kill the Sulfur Cube with a single hit using a high-damage weapon (e.g., a Netherite Sword)
Observe the death animation
Observed Results:
After the block interaction sequence, the Sulfur Cube dies instantly without displaying the standard red hurt tint. The entity simply collapses directly into its death animation and disappears, skipping the red flash that typically indicates damage or death.
Expected Results:
The Sulfur Cube should flash red upon receiving lethal damage, displaying the standard hurt/death tint before playing its death animation and disappearing, consistent with normal Sulfur Cube death behavior under other circumstances.
