fake golden hearts appear when craking a totem of undying while eating a golden apple

I was fighting a friend when he made me use a totem of undying BUT I was also eating a gapple and then fake hearts appeared.

Steps :

-Go to a height of 40 block and keep one totem of undying in your of hand.

-You have a gapple in your main hand.

-Jump of the pillar or stop flying if you was in creative

-During your fall, start to eat your gapple

With a good timing you will have like in the video.

The problem can also be the mace.
