Since enabling the vibrant visuals feature in Minecraft bedrock edition, I have experienced severe lag and major FPS drops during normal gameplay.
While reducing the graphics settings does improve performance, the current optimisation does not allow players to fully enjoy the features at higher settings. Players should reasonably be able to experience vibrant visuals without significant performance loss, especially on hardware that previously handled the game smoothly.
The issues include:
Heavy FPS drops.
Stuttering during movement and chunk loading.
Input delay.
Performance instability around advanced lighting, reflections, and detailed environments.
Before enabling vibrant visuals, the game performed normally on the same device and settings. Disabling the feature restorable performance immediately.
System information:
Minecraft bedrock edition: V26.20.
Platform: PS5.
Graphic settings used: preferences-custom, 30 FPS, shadow quality - high, cloud range - high, volumetric fog quality - low, reflections - low, bloom intensity - 50%, up scaling mode - TAAU, resolution - 66%, render distance - 20 chunks.
Expected results:
Players should be able to use vibrant visuals at higher settings with stable and optimised performance.
I hope this can be fixed in future updates.
