Piglins do not replace their crossbows with dropped weapons such as an enchanted Netherite Spear (Looting 3). This issue occurs with both naturally spawned and manually spawned Piglins.
I also tested other items, including a Gold Spear, Gold Sword, enchanted Crossbow (Quick Charge 3/Piercing 4) and Netherite Sword, but Piglins never swap their currently equipped crossbow for any of the dropped weapons. Instead, they completely ignore the items.
This behavior differs from Java Edition, where Piglins correctly pick up and equip the dropped weapons when they are considered stronger than their current equipment.
Steps to Reproduce
Spawn or locate a Piglin holding a crossbow.
Drop an enchanted Netherite Spear (or other stronger weapons) near the Piglin.
Observe that the Piglin does not equip the weapon.
Expected Behavior
Piglins should evaluate nearby weapons and replace their crossbow with stronger weapons, similar to the behavior in Java Edition.
Actual Behavior
Piglins do not equip better weapons when holding a crossbow.
