NPC Dialogues Edits Lead to Crash

Using the /dialogue command within an NPC, to access command settings of another NPC, consistently causes a crash when attempting to add a command.

Steps to Reproduce Issue:

  1. Create a new world with Creative Mode and Cheats active.

  2. Summon two NPCs side by side.

  3. For the first NPC: enter the NPC Settings > Advanced Settings and add two blank command boxes. Back out of settings.

  4. For the next NPC: enter the NPC Settings > Advanced Settings, Click Add Command, and enter the command “/dialogue open @e[type=npc, c=-1] @initiator” to be able to open the dialogue of one NPC through the other.

  5. Turn on Button Mode for the command. Back out to NPC Settings.

  6. Click on Edit Dialog to open the dialogue and view the button option. Click on the button to open the other NPC’s dialogue.

  7. Exit the Dialogue to view the NPC Settings of this NPC. Click on Advanced Settings. You should see the two blank command boxes from Step 3.

  8. In the second blank command box, type any text within or just click to enter the text space. Back out of the text space.

  9. The game should crash.

Note: My video capture can’t capture the crash itself since it only records gameplay, but I have a snippet of the steps that lead to the crash.

I was able to reproduce this bug several times, following these steps.
