I am experiencing an issue with the RenderDragon Features for Creators experiment on Minecraft Preview 1.26.40.27for iPad (A16). When creating a brand-new world, I enable the RenderDragon Features for Creators experiment, activate a compatible RenderDragon creator resource pack (such as the latest iOS version of Newb X Ale), and enter the world. According to the creator documentation, a Graphics Mode or Deferred Technical Preview option should appear in Settings > Video, but no additional graphics options appear. The Video Settings remain exactly the same as if the experiment were disabled, preventing any RenderDragon creator shaders from being used.
To troubleshoot, I created multiple brand-new worlds, enabled the experiment before world creation every time, activated the resource pack before entering the world, restarted Minecraft Preview, and tested several different RenderDragon creator packs instead of only Newb X Ale. None of them caused the Graphics Mode/Deferred option to appear. I also tested with a minimal diagnostic creator resource pack whose only purpose was to trigger the Deferred renderer, but it produced the same result. Official Vibrant Visuals works normally on my device, so the hardware is capable of advanced graphics. The issue appears to be specifically that the RenderDragon Features for Creators experiment does not expose the creator Deferred renderer on iPad, making third-party RenderDragon creator shader packs unusable despite the experiment being available.
Deferred Technical Preview was renamed to Vibrant Visuals.
