I was playing Vanilla Minecraft when i died. When I respawned, I respawned in a chest near the bed. I couldn’t escape the chest.
The game probally respawned me in the chest due to a bug in the code right around when the player hits the respawn button. I’d expect the game to check a safe place for the player to respawn at the respawn point.
We're tracking this issue at MCPE-143208, so I will resolve and link this report as a duplicate.
