Bad omens disappears when entering village

Pretty straightforward, you drink the Ominous Bottle, you head into a village of any and poof! Gone as fast as it came without any other effect nor anything.

For a bit of context, I was following a tutorial on raid farms, did everything correctly and was ready to drink the bottle. Except that nothing happened, I wasted 2 more bottles and nothing. Now normally the expected result is to get a Raid Omen effect however I got absolutely nothing.

I did an Ominous bottle farm just so I could get more but the bottles just won’t turn into a Raid Omen

There is no steps to reproduce, it’s any village, artificially made or naturally spawned.

I already saw a post about this issue from all the way back from 2024, which bewilders me how this hasn’t been fixed yet. Anyways, I couldn’t comment on it so I made an account just to post this bug. Difficulty cannot even be a factor in this because my world is set to hardcore.

Can confirm on the Latest Release (26.33 Hotfix).

If you enter a naturally spawned village and drink an Ominous Bottle, the Bad Omen effect can clear instantly without converting into a Raid Omen or starting a raid.

Workaround/Fix: Interacting with or sleeping in a bed inside the village forces the game engine to update the village registration data. Once a bed has been used/claimed, subsequent Ominous Bottles correctly transition into a Raid Omen and trigger the raid normally. This might mean a village-updating or bed-syncing delay upon initial chunk loading in the current release.

I am interested solely on the artificial village on the raid farm.

Do you have any resource packs or behavior packs enabled? If so, does the issue still occur if you disable them?

I don’t know why specific info isn’t shown but I do have a singular behavior pack which simply adds the debug feature of java into bedrock edition.

Absolutely nothing happens when I go on the bed and use it. Still the same glitch.

Reminder I’m only testing it on the raid farm, so it’s only 1 bed. I slept on it and the village was no more for a brief moment (With the help of the debug screen behavior pack I could see if I was in a village)

The issue is caused by the behavior pack. The player.json file in the entities folder is outdated and needs to be updated.

I’ll just remove the behavior pack and replace it for a more modern fixed one. It’s from 2024.

But It does finally work, thanks!

Doesn’t even matter anymore, I died on my hardcore world, Oh well.
