Every time I open my Minecraft world and when I do open my inventory in the game and try to move deep slates I mined from my inventory out of my inventory, it won’t work. All it does is sit there.

yeah, that is a bug I have encountered several times in the past. I think how I solved it was just saving and quitting and then re-joining the world.
