Jumping next to a fence triggers ladder climbing sound (Bedrock Beta 26.40.30 & 26.40.31)

Description

In the latest Bedrock Edition beta versions (26.40.30 and 26.40.31), when a player jumps while standing adjacent to a fence block, the game incorrectly plays the sound effect associated with climbing a ladder or walking on a wooden block. This occurs even when no ladder is present nearby.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Launch Minecraft Bedrock Edition beta version 26.40.30 or 26.40.31.

2. Place a single fence block (any wood type) on the ground.

3. Stand directly next to the fence block, on any adjacent side.

4. Press the jump button to perform a single one-block-high jump.

5. Repeat the jump several times while staying next to the fence.

Observed Results

Each time the player jumps while adjacent to the fence, the game plays the wooden footstep sound — specifically, the same audio cue used for climbing ladders or walking on fence blocks. The sound triggers consistently with every jump, regardless of whether the player is facing the fence or moving sideways. This does not occur when jumping on regular full blocks or when standing at a distance from the fence.

Expected Results

Jumping next to a fence should play the standard ground footstep sound corresponding to the block the player is actually standing on (e.g., grass, dirt, stone, or wood planks). The ladder/fence climbing sound should only play when the player is actively climbing a ladder or standing/walking on top of a fence block, not when merely adjacent to one.
