When turning on Volumetric Lights and adjusting Volumetric Fog Quality under the Deferred Technical Preview graphics settings, block light sources (such as Torches, Soul Torches, Sea Lanterns, Campfires, Lanterns, etc.) do not emit light shafts or volumetric fog illumination. The light sources appear dull and fail to produce any volumetric lighting effects in the environment.
Steps to Reproduce:
Enter a world with Deferred Technical Preview enabled (Vibrant Visuals / Deferred Graphics).
Open Settings > Video.
Set Block Light Quality to Volumetric Lights.
Set Volumetric Fog Quality to Low, Medium, High, or Ultra.
Place light sources (Torches, Lanterns, Glowstone, Campfire, etc.) on the ground during nighttime or in a dark environment.
Observed Result:
No light rays or volumetric illumination are visible around the light blocks. The lights act as if the volumetric feature is completely inactive or broken.
Expected Result:
Light sources should cast visible light shafts/god rays through the volumetric fog and illuminate the surrounding air/environment properly as intended by the Deferred rendering pipeline.
