For some odd reason, zombie variants (Husks, Drowneds, Zombie Villagers, and the Regular Zombie) and can pick up Nautilus, Wolf, and Horse Armor. The Nautilus and Horse armor isnt visible on the mob(s), though Wolf Armor is and works as it does on a wolf. Nautilus and Horse Armor works also as expected on a Nautilus and Horse for the mob(s) aswell, despite not being visible.
