When shooting an Arrow of Decay using a bow enchanted with Flame, the Wither effect fails to apply entirely.
During testing against an Iron Golem using a Bow enchanted with Flame, shooting a normal arrow versus shooting an Arrow of Decay yields the exact same damage result (13 damage). The custom potion effect (Wither II) associated with the tipped arrow is completely ignored or overridden by the Flame enchantment, rendering the Arrow of Decay functionally identical to a standard arrow when fired from a flame bow.
Testing with a bow without the Flame enchantment confirms that the Arrow of Decay is supposed to apply its lingering Wither effect, proving that the conflict specifically stems from the Flame enchantment.
Steps to Reproduce:
Equip a Bow enchanted with Flame.
Obtain a standard arrow and an Arrow of Decay.
Shoot an Iron Golem with the Flame bow using a standard arrow and record the damage (13 damage).
Shoot another Iron Golem with the same Flame bow using an Arrow of Decay.
Observe the damage and status effects.
Observed Results: Both arrows deal the exact same amount of total damage (13 damage in testing), and the Wither status effect/periodic damage over time fails to apply when using the Arrow of Decay with a Flame bow.
Expected Results: The Arrow of Decay should apply its distinct Wither effect in addition to the bow's fire damage, resulting in higher overall damage over time compared to a standard arrow.
