Massive concurrent player servers appear as LAN worlds on the PLAY screen

Since 26.40 rolled out, PLAY screen has been presenting one or more servers as “LAN world” (see screenshot for an example).

It’s unclear if all of these are official servers, since the naming can appear inconsistent with known hosts.

There is a concern that there is an impact to safety as the provenance of the servers cannot be verified.

This can be reproduced intermittently (but frequently) by just starting the game and visiting the PLAY page to bring up your own worlds.
