Local world becomes storageManager.world.unlisted and cannot be loaded

A locally hosted survival world has disappeared from the normal Play – Worlds list, but the world data still appears in Settings – Storage – Worlds as an “Unlisted World”.

Minecraft reports 9 worlds in storage while only 8 appear in normal Worlds list. The missing world’s thumbnail is correct and recognisable as my missing world. Its storage info shows:

Name: storageManager.world.unlisted

Size: 19.1 MB

Storage: Local

Last played/saved: 01/01/1970

The world was previously playable and was hosted locally from this Chromebook. It was used for multiplayer with another player.

The world cannot be played, edited, copied or exported from the storage manager; only available action is Delete.

Switching between Application and External storage does not restore the world to the normal Worlds list. The unlisted 19.1 MB remains visible in the storage manager.

I have not deleted the unlisted world, cleared Minecraft’s data or uninstalled Minecraft. I would like to recover the existing world rather than delete it.

Random possible bonus info: shortly before the world disappeared, another player could no longer see me as online in the Minecraft social tab and multiplayer invitations were not being received despite both accounts being correctly signed in.
