Dubble chest separating after reloading the chunk it's in

I was playing with minecraft Bedrock on my phone with a controller. I left my base and sa my pet fox resting on my double chest.

I went 500 blocks away, unloading the chunk my base is in. And when I returned my double chest turned into two small chests.

I tried to quick move stuff into one of the chests, but it mostly didn’t let me.

When I rejoined the next day, the chest was alright.
