Recently in my newly generated hardcore world, i came near an adult polar bear and it started coming toward me, i hid in my small room i created and it was looking away.
Its view was opposite to me, it was walking, the entrance was 1 block width, he could not come inside. I came near 3 blocks diagonally to try hitting, when it was looking elsewhere. And it hit me hard but my sword could not reach him then. And there was grass blocks nearby.
This happened twice and left me half heart health in the 2nd day of hardcore.
