FPS Drops When Changing Defaults For Vibrant Visual's Performance Mode and Restarting The Game

Frame rate drops significantly when you modify the default settings for Vibrant Visual’s ‘Performance’ mode preset and then restart your game.

Steps to Reproduce
1. Enable Vibrant Visuals and set it to the ‘Performance’ mode preset
2. Increase the default Render Distance (I went from 12 to 16)
3. Close the game and open it back up again

Expected Outcome
Once the Render Distance is increased, the game switches the preset toggle to “Custom” and continues to run smoothly after a game restart, like before the game was closed.

Actual Outcome
Once the Render Distance is increased, the game switches the preset toggle to “Custom” and continues to run smoothly until the game restarts. Decreasing the Render Distance back to what it was before it was changed (16 > 12) does not improve frame rates, even after a restart. However, despite the settings being back to the defaults for the ‘Performance’ mode already, changing the toggle back to ‘Performance’ mode improves frame rate immediately upon doing so.

I don’t think the videos I’m attaching of before and after a game restart do it justice, but here they are anyway. The Xbox model is the Xbox Series S.

This Occurs on Switch 2 aswell. It’s due to the 'Automatic Resolution' option. Performance Mode uses a resolution around 66%, and as soon as you adjust a setting it becomes Custom Mode, which maxes resolution to 100%, causing frame rate to dip. Manually setting resolution alleviates the frame rate drop.
