Avatar Skin Gone, Nothing Appears after hitting “Play”

I updated to 26.50 this morning. Upon opening the game, my avatar flickered for an instant (so fast it was almost unnoticeable) and my avatar box became empty. It is also empty in the “Dressing Room”. Upon hitting play, the main menu buttons disappear and the game just pans around a background scene - none of my worlds come up, there are not buttons to push, no way to back out and requires completely closing the program. This has happened 5 times.
