I recently found out that changing some of my registry keys was somehow the main reason for my player stats ('Blocks broken', ‘Mobs defeated’ and ‘Distance traveled', with the exception of ‘Time played’) to stop updating and my achievements stop getting awarded at all until I performed a factory data reset which restored their default values. As this is an ongoing issue for me in the last two years on two different computers, it’s not related to the Windows version being used.
To reproduce:
Change the values of your registry keys.
Open the game and play while watching your profile stats closely.
Expected result:
The changes don’t result in any abnormal effect on the way your stats/achievements count.
Actual result:
‘Time played’ is the only stat that keeps updating while you play, and no new achievements are get no matter how much you keep performing their obtainment procedure correctly.

For context, I’ve consent to run a script made by a friend of mine that I used each time I wiped my laptop’s data to boost its performance since I depend on an iGPU. A few weeks ago I wanted to try the Windows Insider program, but it was requiring me to enable an option about ‘Optional Diagnostic Data’ that just wasn’t turning on, so I seached fixes online and found something explaining my registry keys could have been modified and I should use the default ones.
After managing to restore their default values back without performing a factory data reset, I went to play Minecraft Bedrock a bit while the new Windows version was being downloaded and said stats that weren’t updating earlier that day started updating normally again.
It’s been a few weeks now and my stats haven’t had any issues since. I’ve contacted support to let them know and they told me to create this bug report while they were working on a fix.
Please specify which registry keys you changed.
