Hello, Mojang!
The new update ruined how keyboard works in the game. You can no longer select all or select a specific line of text to copy or delete them, and this problem happens across all of the mechanics such as book, chat, command block, UI when you're trying to type something. Another problem is you can no longer delete rapidly the characters on the text when you hold the back button of your keyboard so you now need to tap back button individually rapidly to remove each character, and going to the number row then clicking the back button now brings you back to alphabetical section of your keyboard.
Additionally, the chat menu is broken because if you're typing on the chat then you accidentally or intentionally tapped outside of the keyboard box, the game forced to close the chat menu and the worst part is those recent typed on the chat box cannot be drafted so if you go back, those text will be gone and you have to start all over again.
I'm used to the old thing, Mojang. Please fix this issue in the next official update. I tried so many ways like 3rd party keyboard apps but the bug is still there. Many players and creator experienced this too, especially me as Map Creator. Hope you take action immediately because this is frustrating…

Please fix this. I have a modded map world which has ton of command blocks. If this didn't fix later, this is gonna be unplayable
For info: I am also on android, but my world has an add on called ‘another furniture add-on’ in case it's relevant.
I’ve also been experiencing similar issues, namely the tapping outside the keyboard closing the chat window (this includes when trying to send the message, but does not happen, when first closing the keyboard before sending)
I’ve also been experiencing an additional problem with the chat, namely that copying and pasting something (e.g, coordinates) will make it so when ur typing something afterwards, when typing an underscore it will change the position you are typing at, to the position before pasting. The word before the underscore and the underscore will stay in place, but be duplicated to in front of what was pasted and what you aretyping will only appear there.
Immage 1: typing the first half of a command and pasting the second coordinates '31.70 186.00 2.70'. Then typing 'spruce_'.
Immage 2: Typing a ‘p' after ‘spruce_’ which leaves ‘spruce_’ where it was and duplicated ‘spruce_p’ in place of the space between the coordinates and continues writing there.
Yes tab key which i used for complete auto text. Has not working. Check if I click tab button.It shows a symbol like letter o with bar i checked it. I didn't change any settings of my keyboard or my tab. And this issue came to my friend.Also, after the update
Please mojang fix this bug as fast as possible, I'm constantly dealing with commands and not being able to select and copy stuff is upsetting to deal with
I’m having a similar problem on Chrome OS with the same Bedrock version. Specifically the chat window is acting strange with the keyboard now. I’m primarily broken when trying to use auto-complete using the Tab key.
Steps:
Launch Minecraft Bedrock v26.51 from Google Playstore on ChromeOS.
Open a local vanilla world with cheats enabled.
Open chat and enter
/gam.Press the physical Tab key.
Observed: /gamō is inserted into the chat field.
Expected: Tab completes or cycles through command suggestions.
Note: I can still perform auto-complete by using the DPad-Right button on my controller.
Related, the cursor is not always going to the end of the text window.
Steps:

We're already tracking this issue at [MCPE-242450] Keyboard functions are not feature-parity on Android OS - Jira Service Management, so I will resolve and link this ticket as a Duplicate.
