After version 26.50, when Night Vision is enabled, the brightness shows obvious abnormalities. Specifically, in an open-air nighttime environment, the brightness is noticeably darker than in a completely dark environment. In addition, during daytime, the area around light-emitting blocks becomes noticeably darker, which appears to be caused by sky light and block light having a higher priority than Night Vision.
Steps to Reproduce:
Enter a world and drink a Potion of Night Vision.
Place 1 Sea Lantern on the ground in an open area during the day and observe.
Set the world time to night and observe.
Enter a completely dark enclosed area and observe.
Place 1 Sea Lantern in the completely dark enclosed area and observe.
Actual Result:
Under the Night Vision effect, there is no noticeable brightness difference among the various observed scenarios.
Expected Result:
The area around the Sea Lantern should be noticeably darker, and the brightness in an open-air nighttime environment should be even darker than in a completely dark enclosed area. This behavior is inconsistent with versions before 26.45.
