When looking/triggering an enderman, the enderman often stops attacking after teleporting away

When i play the minecraft beta for switch 2 or like normally on my phone, i try to kill an enderman and he suddenly just stops chasing me. Sometimes i find that same enderman again and sometimes i dont. This should be reproducable by going into a warped forest and killing a few endermen. Normally the enderman should continue chasing you until either the player dies or the enderman dies
