Physical keyboard problem

When I join a server in the game or enter any world I’ve created, the mouse works fine, but my physical keyboard goes haywire and switches to text input mode whenever I press any key. I don’t have this problem in other apps or games. My physical keyboard works fine. It’s just that when I join a server or enter a world in the game, I can’t move forward or backward. The game’s keyboard settings are set to default. I haven’t made any changes, but the problem persists!
