I am experiencing frequent short freezes when playing Minecraft Bedrock with Add-Ons enabled.
The important part is that this does NOT appear to be a normal FPS/performance issue:
Vanilla Minecraft works normally.
With Add-Ons enabled, the game periodically completely freezes for a moment, then continues normally.
FPS is otherwise smooth and high.
Changing graphics settings from maximum to minimum does not noticeably change the freezes.
The issue occurs with multiple different Add-Ons, not just one specific Add-On.
I tested RealismCraft and other marketplace addons and both can reproduce the issue.
I already completely reinstalled Minecraft, but the problem remained.
The problem has persisted across multiple recent Minecraft updates.
Because the same device runs vanilla Minecraft normally, and lowering graphical settings does not affect the freezes, this seems more like an Add-On/Bedrock processing or compatibility issue than insufficient device performance.
Steps to reproduce:
Open Minecraft Bedrock on an iPad Pro 11 256gb M4.(or other iPads,i saw some people reporting this issue on forums too)
Create/load a world with an Add-On enabled.
Play normally for several minutes.
The game periodically freezes completely for a short time and then resumes.
Disable the Add-On and play the same way in vanilla Minecraft — the freezes do not occur.
This makes multiplayer with friends very difficult because the game periodically becomes completely unresponsive.
Possible workaround:
Create a new world without Add-Ons.
Enter the world.
Add the Add-On afterward.
The freezes may no longer occur.
Please investigate Add-On initialization when creating a new world, especially on iOS/iPadOS.
BTW, a few other people have encountered this type of bug on iOS devices as well. Here are some related reports:
