Custom glyphs added through resource packs do not render correctly when Minecraft's language is set to Japanese.
The exact same resource pack and Unicode character work correctly when the language is switched to English.
Steps to Reproduce
Create a resource pack containing
font/glyph_E9.png, with a custom icon in the first 16×16 cell.Enable the resource pack in a world.
Set the game language to English.
Display the Unicode character U+E900 using chat or the
/titlerawcommand.Confirm that the custom icon is displayed correctly.
Change the game language to Japanese.
Repeat the same test without changing the resource pack.
Expected Result
Custom glyphs should render consistently regardless of the selected game language.
Actual Result
English: The custom glyph is displayed correctly.
Japanese: The glyph is replaced with a missing-character symbol (a box containing an X).
Additional Information
The issue is reproducible by changing only the game language. The same resource pack, texture, and Unicode character are used in both tests.
This affects creators who use custom glyphs for icons, text-based interfaces, and resource-pack UI elements.
Please investigate whether the Japanese font rendering system is preventing custom glyphs from being loaded.
