"Night" gets overwritten by hashtags while typing in command blocks

The word “night“ is partially censored due to it containing “nig“ in it, and overwrites that part of the word with hashtags permanently before the word is typed. Only seems to occur in command blocks, while signs are unaffected.

How to reproduce:

Type night into a command block

Exit and re enter the command block

Ctrl A and Ctrl C to select the text

Paste into a text field outside of Minecraft

Observed result:

The pasted text shows “###ht“

If not, ensure that you exit the command block to save it

It also shows like this when used in say and tellraw commands

Expected result:

The text will show “night“. It should briefly censor when the “ht“ is not there yet, but not replace them (this is the current behaviour with signs).

Any word that is censored should only render as #, and should not replace the actual characters.
