Minecraft Bedrock 26.52 – Custom Player Skins Not Visible in Multiplayer on Android and Windows

Minecraft Bedrock – Multiplayer Player Skin Visibility and Synchronization Issue on Android and Windows

Game edition: Minecraft Bedrock Edition

Platforms tested: Android and Minecraft for Windows (PC)

Android device: Samsung Galaxy A13

Android game version: [v26.52]

Windows game version: [v26.52]

Description

I am experiencing an inconsistent player skin visibility issue in Minecraft Bedrock Edition multiplayer. The problem is not limited to Android, as I have also encountered it while testing Minecraft for Windows on PC.

My skin displays correctly in single-player worlds. However, in multiplayer, player skins may appear as the default Steve or Alex skin, or one player may be unable to see the other player's equipped skin.

The issue has been observed while testing multiplayer between players and worlds, including a world hosted by me, with my friend joining as a member. The problem can also occur when testing Minecraft for Windows on PC.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Launch Minecraft Bedrock Edition on Android or Minecraft for Windows on PC.

2. Equip a custom skin that displays correctly in single-player.

3. Create or join a multiplayer world with another player.

4. Check whether both players can see each other's equipped skins.

5. Test the “Only Allow Trusted Skins” setting in both enabled and disabled states, where available.

6. Have players leave and rejoin the world.

7. Repeat the test with different hosting and joining roles, and on the tested platforms.

Expected Result

Both players should consistently see each other's equipped skins in multiplayer, regardless of which player hosts the world or whether the game is running on Android or Windows.

Actual Result

Player skin visibility is inconsistent in multiplayer. Some skins may be replaced by Steve or Alex, and the two players may see different results. The problem persists despite toggling the trusted skins setting and having the other player leave and rejoin the world.

The issue has been encountered during testing on Android and Minecraft for Windows on PC.

Troubleshooting Already Performed

- Confirmed that the skin displays correctly in single-player.

- Tested a default Minecraft skin.

- Tested “Only Allow Trusted Skins” in both enabled and disabled states.

- Tested a world hosted by me, with my friend joining as a member.

- Had the other player leave and rejoin the world twice.

- Tested Minecraft for Windows on PC in addition to Android.

- Confirmed that the issue was not resolved by these tests.

Please investigate whether this is a Minecraft Bedrock multiplayer skin synchronization, rendering, or cross-platform compatibility bug. I would appreciate a solution that does not require deleting local worlds or reinstalling the game.
