Short description:
With "fit_to_frame": false in the "gui" entry of "item_display_transforms", the item is placed correctly in the HUD hotbar but appears offset in the Inventory screen. Using "fit_to_frame": true ignores custom transform values entirely, so there is no way to get both right.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a custom block using "minecraft:item_visual" with a custom geometry (format_version 1.21.0 or higher) that includes "item_display_transforms".
2. Set the "gui" entry to:
"gui": { "fit_to_frame": false, "rotation": [30, -135, 0], "translation": [0, 0, 0], "scale": [0.5, 0.5, 0.5] }
3. Give the item to the player and place it in the hotbar.
4. Open the player inventory.
Expected result:
The item keeps the same placement relative to its slot in the HUD and in the Inventory screen.
Actual result:
The item is correctly placed in the hotbar but shifted to the left and downward from the slot center in the Inventory screen. Adjusting translation to fix the Inventory shifts the HUD instead.
Attachment 1: item in the HUD hotbar (centered).
Attachment 2: same item in the Inventory screen (shifted left and down).
