Note: I have abbreviated Skin Packs, Texture Packs, and Mashup Packs into “DLC” for convenience (there’s already a lot of repetition here)
for extra clarification:
Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition refers to the dedicated version of Minecraft developed by 4J Studios released in 2017 for Nintendo Switch
Minecraft for Nintendo Switch refers to the dedicated version of Minecraft Bedrock released in 2018 for Nintendo Switch
Minecraft for Nintendo Switch 2 refers to the dedicated version of Minecraft Bedrock released in 2026 for Nintendo Switch 2
DLC purchased from Nintendo eshop for Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition does not transfer to Minecraft for Nintendo Switch 2 and only transfers to Minecraft for Nintendo Switch
On a Nintendo account that has purchased DLC for Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition, open Minecraft for Nintendo Switch 2 and open your library
Purchased DLC should be available with an “Owned (P)” next to it
Purchased DLC is not owned and must be purchased using Minecoins
Would be really great to use content I paid for, I understand restricting it between consoles but this is DLC purchased on the same account and from the same store as Minecraft for Nintendo Switch and Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition (and its DLC). Minecraft for Nintendo Switch correctly supports this, I can play this version on my Switch 2, there is no reason I shouldn’t be able to use this content on its dedicated version
