The Torch block model does not extend past its vanilla texture’s uvs, which causes texture packs from Legacy Console Editions of Minecraft to not appear correctly. This also applies to the Soul Torch, Copper Torch, Underwater Torch and Colored Torches from Education Edition. This is inconsistent with the Redstone Torch block model, which in some cases are also cut off in these packs, but allow for one extra pixel on all sides.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open the Marketplace and download one of the 4J Studios texture packs (Vault-Tec Mash-up Pack, Fantasy texture Pack, Super Cute Texture Pack, Greek Mythology Mash-Up Pack, Natural Texture Pack, Star Wars)
2. Create a new world and apply the pack
3. Place down a Torch and compare its item texture to the block’s texture.
Optional Step: Open any version of Legacy Console Edition and compare the torch model, using the same pack used in Bedrock.
Expected Result:
The Torch Appears with its texture extending past the vanilla block model, similar to how a Redstone Torch would
Actual Result:
The Torch’s texture appears cut off where the vanilla block model would, breaking how the torches should appear.
