Graphics mode options becomes broken when changing settings tabs.
How to reproduce:
Go to settings
Switch your graphics mode to vibrant visuals
Click on any tab on the left other than subscriptions or resource packs
Go back to video settings and try changing graphics modes again
Observe the buttons appearing to not do anything when clicked
Click fancy and change tabs again
Go back to video and observe the buttons appearing to not do anything again
