Minecraft Bedrock Loading Stuck at 73%

Bug Report: Minecraft Bedrock Edition Stuck at 73% Loading on Dual-Core Windows Devices

Issue Title: Minecraft Bedrock Edition freezes at 73% during startup on dual-core Windows devices.

Platform: Windows 10 / Windows 11
Game: Minecraft Bedrock Edition
Affected Devices: Windows PCs and laptops with dual-core processors.

Bug Description

Minecraft Bedrock Edition appears to get stuck at 73% on the loading screen when launching on certain Windows devices equipped with dual-core processors.

The game starts normally and progresses through the initial loading process but consistently stops at 73%, preventing users from reaching the main menu.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Launch Minecraft Bedrock Edition on a Windows device with a dual-core CPU.

  2. Wait for the initial loading screen.

  3. Observe the loading progress.

  4. The loading process reaches 73% and stops progressing.

Expected Behaviour

Minecraft should complete the startup process, load the main menu, and allow the player to access their worlds and other game features.

Actual Behaviour

The game gets stuck at 73% indefinitely or takes an unusually long time to proceed, making it impossible to access the game.

Possible Cause

The issue may be related to:

  • CPU thread scheduling or limited processing resources.

  • An initialization task that fails to complete on dual-core processors.

  • Compatibility or optimization issues with lower-core-count CPUs.

  • Background processes consuming available CPU resources.

These are potential causes and require further investigation.

Impact

This issue makes Minecraft Bedrock Edition inaccessible to affected users, particularly those using older or budget Windows computers with dual-core processors.

Suggested Investigation

  • Investigate the startup process specifically around the 73% loading stage.

  • Test the game on dual-core processors with and without Hyper-Threading.

  • Check for CPU thread synchronization or initialization deadlocks.

  • Review startup logs for errors occurring when loading reaches 73%.

  • Improve compatibility with lower-end Windows hardware.

Severity: High (Game startup blocked)
Priority: Medium–High

Conclusion: Minecraft Bedrock Edition should be tested and optimized for dual-core Windows devices to ensure that users with older hardware can launch and play the game without encountering a startup freeze.
