Render distance + menus

Hi there,
I have downloaded the update (FINALLY WE GET STAINED GLASS!!! I've been waiting for this for sooo long!), but I have a few issues with it.
Firstly, is there a way to use the old menus? I'm not a fan (and not used to) the new ones and was hoping you'd add a way to switch back to the old ones.
Secondly, my render distance is very low. I'm not sure whether it's a glitch (I can only choose 4, 5 or 6 you see) but it used to be able to go MUCH higher (and I always play on the highest setting, so it's very annoying).
