I have built a cobblestone factory, and have used a furnace placed on top to prevent the machine from pushing cobblestone above it 12 blocks high, and it worked great on Xbox one edition, now it just pushes the furnace along with it.

However, this Works as Intended.
Unlike in the Console edition, block entities (like droppers hoppers furnaces chest) are movable in Minecraft (bedrock). Slimeblocks / pistons do ignore inmovable blocks like obsidian.
