It just occurred to me that I have yet to see a wolf in my world since first creating it in the beta. I have almost completed a 4th scale map (meaning I have covered a large chunk of ground - 2048x2048) and have come across all types of biomes except a Jungle. In all of those I have yet to see a wolf. I can't imagine it's the seed (7001). I've seen an abundance of other mobs (all except the parrot and ocelot since no jungles).
Could this be a bug from the beta? Haven't tried a new map, as I have put too much time into this one already and would hate to have to start from scratch.

So I continued to explore my world and eventually came across one lone wolf. I took a look at the wiki and noticed that they only spawn in particular biomes. So maybe that was the issue.
Oddly enough I never noticed this restriction before under the old Xbox One version. Maybe it was broken? Wolves would spawn like crazy in multiple biomes not listed in the wiki.
Anyway, I guess this can be closed now as I was able to finally find one.
