Drop Down Menus freeze game

Hello,

This is a bug I have reported before but have had no response to as of yet. I was hoping the new updates may have fixed this issue, however unfortunately not. Whenever I access a drop down menu in minecraft whether it be in settings or during gameplay the game will freeze the menu on the screen.

This makes me unable to tap off from the menu regardless of the fact I can still see graphics running fine in the background such as fire or mobs.

Also reporting this big for the new version of minecraft 1.2.2.
