The max render distance is now 6 blocks, it used to be 24. if it is not possible to have 24 blocks max than make the 24 block max feature available for single player, the iPad Pro has a very stable frame rate with everything maxed out at 24 block render distance.
Tested on iPad Pro 10.5 inch
